My name is Donna. I’m a wife, a mom of three, a teacher and inventor. I became an inventor early in motherhood when ALL three of my children developed something called Cradle Cap. Your doctor may use the fancy term Seborrheic Dermatitis. But take it from me: it’s not fancy! It’s gross. It smells. It is both sticky and flaky at the same time and it’s impossible to get past it when you’re trying to gaze into your newborn’s eyes and take in the delicious smell.
Cradle Cap is a common but very annoying and unsightly irritant. While Cradle Cap itself isn’t painful for the baby, too much scrubbing and rubbing can certainly cause some real discomfort. I tried everything to get rid of it. Have you ever poured oil on a newborn’s head? I have, and it isn’t pretty. And I of course scrubbed too hard. So my babies cried! And it is doubly worse when you find out (surprise!) that your gorgeous baby has sensitive skin.
I searched and searched for a solution and the more I searched the more frustrated I became. There. Was. Nothing.
I could not fathom why something like a wipe didn’t exist. So I decided to make one.
I spent three years mixing and testing oils and cloths, and after countless trials and errors, I developed a tried and true combination. This avocado oil-based mixture melded onto a gentle exfoliating cloth helps relieve the symptoms associated with cradle cap. Noggin WipesTM was finally born.
Noggin WipesTM are available at Buy Buy Baby stores nationwide, in baby stores and pharmacies in NYC, at Whaley’s drugstore chain across the Midwest, at Albee Baby, as well as at Bed Bath & Beyond. Noggin WipesTM was a finalist at the Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association (JPMA) show in 2019. We joined Amazon in 2019, with strong customer satisfaction and speedy service.
